Membership: International Committees Affiliation and Member Application Form

Being a member of one of ICOM’s 34 International Committees is a great benefit of being an ICOM member. These committees provide opportunities to meet and collaborate with colleagues from similar organisations all over the world.

The International Committees store and use member data via via the IRIS database. This is the same IRIS database which is used by the Secretariat to check member status and IC affiliation. It is important to keep your data updated on IRIS as if a member is not registered to an IC in IRIS, they won’t be considered as an IC member. We encourage you to connect and use IRIS, as this is a common tool between the ICs, NCs, Secretariat and the members.

The easiest way for a member to join or update their IC affiliation is via the IRIS members space:  https://icom-museum.force.com/login
This link is promoted each month in the ICOM Newsletter and we encourage you to share this link with your members as often as possible.

We also take this opportunity to provide you with the updated version of the individual and institutional membership application form including the two new International Committees.

NB:
All ICOM members can become a member of one (1) International Committee.
An institutional members can have up to 3 representatives, and each representative can become a member of one (1) International Committee.
