ICOM Aotearoa New Zealand has established a travel fellowship to support the development of museum students and early career professionals. The annual award will provide funding for someone to travel and study at an overseas institution, broadening their skills and networks within the sector. ICOM ANZ Chair Liz Cotton says ‘the board are delighted to offer this to someone starting out in their museum career. New Zealand is a long way from some amazing training opportunities and flight costs are often a barrier to participating in them. We hope this fellowship will ease some of the financial burden and allow our emerging museum talent to dream big.’ 2025 applications close 21 February, 2025.
